Built for the Realities of Equine Practice
StableTrack is built by Asteris in collaboration with equine veterinary practices. Learn about our mission, AI approach, security posture, and roadmap.
The Gaps in Equine Practice Software
For decades, equine veterinarians have been forced to use tools designed for small-animal clinics or to stitch together spreadsheets, paper, and generic accounting software. The result is missed charges, incomplete records, and admin work that follows the vet home every night. StableTrack exists to close that gap.
Built to Work the Way You Do
Our mission is simple: build practice management software that fits the real workflow of equine veterinary medicine. Mobile-first. Multi-owner aware. Built around the route, the barn, and the truck rather than the front desk and the exam room.
Developed by Teams with Real-World Practice Insight
StableTrack is built by people with direct experience in the equine industry who understand the operational and clinical realities of equine practice. The team combines veterinary domain expertise with software, AI, and imaging engineering from Asteris.
Built in Collaboration With Real Practices
Every feature in StableTrack starts with feedback from working equine veterinarians. We test in real practices, iterate based on field use, and ship changes that solve actual day-to-day problems rather than imagined ones.
A Thoughtful Approach to AI
StableTrack's AI is a documentation and workflow tool, not a clinical decision-maker. It transcribes, structures, and surfaces information so the veterinarian can act faster, but every clinical judgment stays with the clinician. Notes are reviewed and approved before they enter the record.
Security & Data Ownership
Your practice's data belongs to your practice. StableTrack uses encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. We do not sell or share practice data, and we provide clear export pathways so you are never locked in.
Looking Ahead
The roadmap is shaped by the equine veterinary community. Deeper imaging integration, more powerful Barn Operations, smarter scheduling, and continued AI improvements that always keep the veterinarian in control.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 30 days, full platform, no credit card. At the end you pick a plan, or walk away owing nothing.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $199/month with unlimited users. No per-seat pricing, no charge for adding vets, techs, or front desk staff. AI usage shows in your subscription settings so there are no surprises.
Is there a contract?
No. StableTrack is month-to-month, cancel anytime, no lock-in, no exit fees.
Can you help us move our data over?
Yes. Our team works with you through onboarding to get your practice set up in StableTrack, so you're not starting from scratch on your own.
Who owns our data?
You do. It's exportable anytime, stored on US-hosted infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest, and never sold or shared.
Is StableTrack actually built for equine, or adapted from small-animal software?
Equine-first, from the ground up. Multi-owner billing, syndicate splits, barn-level invoicing, AAEP lameness grades, Henneke scores, and Coggins workflows are core features, not bolt-ons.
How do SOAP notes work?
Dictate the visit and AI drafts all four sections, Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan, plus Plan sub-blocks for diagnostics, medications, procedures, and follow-up. You review and edit before saving. Most vets cut documentation time 40 to 60%.
Does it handle horses with multiple owners?
Yes. A single barn visit generates one invoice per owner automatically, if a horse has two owners, you get two invoices. No manual splitting.
Does it work in the field?
The web app runs in any mobile browser, and there's a companion iOS app for ambulatory work. The iOS app keeps working when field signal drops and syncs when you're back in coverage. Desktop offline support is coming.
What does the AI Assistant do?
It lives on every screen and can draft SOAP notes, generate discharge summaries, book appointments, create invoices, and add patients, by voice or text. It never diagnoses or recommends treatment. Every note is yours to review before it saves.
Does it connect to imaging / PACS?
Yes, natively to Keystone PACS, built by the same team. Studies flow into the horse's record, orders feed the modality worklist, and imaging charges land on the invoice. No extra license cost if you run both.
How do payments work?
Take card and ACH directly from invoices through Stripe. Payments mark the invoice paid automatically, no third-party portal.
Does it sync with QuickBooks?
Yes. Connect QuickBooks Online and invoices, customers, and payments sync automatically. Monitor sync activity and fix any failures right from the settings.
